To create a custom report, you start by creating the base report. You have two options for creating your starting point:

  • Find an existing report that almost provides the information you need, and make adjustments
    1. Navigate to Analytics & Reports
    2. Find the report that is similar to one you want, either by selecting from Reports & Analytics summary page or using Browse Reports to list all available reports and dashboards. A report is identified with the report_icon.png icon.

If you will use the base report regularly, consider favoriting it so you can access it easily next time. For more information, see How to Favorite Reports and Filter Navigation.

    3. With the report open, click   > Explore from here. This opens the report builder. You can make your adjustments here
    4. When your adjustments are complete, and you've run the report to make sure it provides the information you need, click   > Save. You can save it as a new standalone report (Look) or add it to a dashboard. For more information, see Save a Report.
  • Start from scratch with a blank report
    1. Navigate to Analytics & Reports
    2. Pick and open any report
    3. With the report open, click   > Explore from here to open the report builder
    4. Click   > Remove fields and filters. This clears all configuration from the report.
    5. Click   > Save and save the new report. You now have a blank slate on which to start building your metrics.

Note: A clearing of fields and filters is only saved when you save a new version of the report. The configured fields and filters will persist if you leave the report without saving.

Now you have the base for your new report, you can start building it. Ensure it's open in the Explore window (  > Explore from here) - this is the report builder element of Unifyr.
