A default template is provided for emails sent when a supplier rejects a potential partner's application to join their partner program. For more information, see Pending Partners.

You can customize the template so all notification emails include your branding and message.

  1. Navigate to    > Settings > System Messaging.
  2. Go to the Partner Rejection Emails tab in the left sidebar.
  3. Click on the Reject Partner Registration template.
  4. Make changes as required:
    • Change the name of the template.
    • Change the subject header for the email in Subject.
    • Click Edit in the Template area to make changes to the content of the email (default content is provided). You can make these types of change:

      • Add your own logo or branding
      • Change the text content of the email
      • Use merge fields to the email body, as placeholders for dynamically populated content

The {rejectionReason} merge field is included as a default. Leave this in if you'll want to add a specific reason for turning an application down - when you reject a partner, a popup will ask you to give a reason for the rejection. Add one, and click Reject, and the text you add replaces the merge tag in the body of the email notification sent to that partner.

      • Update the footer
      • Add/remove social media icons

For guidance on the areas you see in the email edit page, see Content/Formatting/Display Options for Supplier-Created Content.

When updating a template, you can add a short comment to explain what you've changed.

This comment will be displayed on the template’s Version History. Click Options > View History to review the changes made to the template.

  5. Click Save and Close to complete the update.
