Overview

Partner filters allow you to filter reports and content to preset partner groups or to specific partners. In Unifyr, you can select partner filters to limit the partners who have access to a workflow, a custom activity, or a customizable multimedia asset. All items do not necessarily publish to all partners.

This article explains how to activate partner filters.

You can filter by these types of information - some are default criteria, others you can create and customize for your own needs:

  • Partner fields that are configured to accept value selection
  • Specific partners - choose the Selected Partners criterion
  • Specific Partner Groups - choose the Selected Partner Groups criterion
  • Partners from specific Partner Tiers - choose the Selected Partner Tiers criterion
  • Partners who have completed, or not completed, specific activities

Intended Audience

Channel Marketing Leader, Channel Sales Leader, Partner Marketing Director, Partner Channel Sales Director, or Partner Channel Account Manager.

Before You Begin

Create your custom partner fields if you want to use them for additional content filtering.

Note

Work with your Unifyr team to define custom fields that will work best for your company.

How to Add Partner Filters

To add partner filters to marketing content:

  1. Navigate to one of these locations:

    • Partner Marketing > Workflows
    • Partner Marketing > Custom Activities
    • Partner Marketing > Multimedia

Filters for other marketing activities / content are configured differently - see articles about creating those items for reference.

  2. Click the name of the item that you want to add filters to. The details view displays.
  3. Click Edit Details.
  4. In the Partner Filters, area, click Edit.
  5. In Apply Partner Filters, click the link for the criterion/criteria you want to use as the filter and select the values to be used in the filter.
    • If you have the option to select multiple values for a filter criterion, the system will combine the values with an OR statement (one of the values must apply). For example, you might choose multiple regions EMEA, APAC. The filter will look like this: Region = EMEA OR APAC.
    • You might add another criterion to the partner filter. When you choose multiple criteria you are creating an AND statement between the criteria (both/all criteria must apply). For example, you might also specify that the partner must also be on your Gold partner tier. The result of the combined filter will look like this: Partner Tier = Gold AND Region = EMEA OR APAC

    • In Apply Partner Filter, you can also choose any of these actions:

      • Expand and collapse filter types as needed, by clicking on the link.
      • Click Check All or Clear All next to each filter type to select all available values, or remove all values already selected, for the filter.
      • Review the count of selected values next to the filter type.

  6. Click Apply to save your filter settings and close the window.

  7. In the item's details view, click Save if you've finished editing it.
