Note
The Multi-Partner Users feature needs to be enabled on your system. Submit a request to your Unifyr team if you want to use it.
A partner user can be a member of multiple partner accounts, using the same email address in each. A single login / credentials gives them unified access all accounts.
In the portal, they can quickly switch between the accounts to which they’re linked. They can have different roles/permissions/access in each.
If the Multi-Partner Users feature is enabled for you, there are two ways in which you can link a single user to multiple partners:
If both partner accounts already exist
Create a user account as normal. The new user will receive a welcome email inviting them to set their password for portal access.
For more information, see Creating a Partner User in User Explorer.
If you want to link the user to a second partner, create a new user account for them, selecting the second partner name in the details. Ensure that both user records have the same name and email address so they will be linked.
The second and any subsequent accounts will not receive the welcome email - they’ll get an email confirming each new account, with the option to login using the credentials they received in the original email.
If one of the partner accounts doesn’t yet exist
Create a user account in the existing partner account as normal. The new user will receive a welcome email inviting them to set their password for portal access.
Create a new partner account with the existing user as the contact. For more information, see Creating a Partner Account.
The second account and any subsequent accounts will not receive a welcome email - the user can use the login credentials they received in the original email to access all their linked accounts. They’ll see an email confirming that they’ve been added to the new partner account.
Note
You can customize your own confirmation emails for subsequent account notifications - see > Settings > Multi-Partner Welcome Emails (available if Multi-Partner Users is enabled). If you haven't set up a custom template, the emails will use a default template provided by Unifyr. For more information, see About Custom Email Notification Templates.
