In Partner Marketing > Affiliate Links, you specify the parameters that will be appended to links in marketing content to identify the partner who influenced click throughs to your sites or data, and how their values will be generated.
You can also include attributes that identify the campaign and even the specific piece of content from which an interaction originated - be as granular as you like in terms of detail here.

Notes

The Partner parameter and value are required for an Affiliate Link configuration. Until both are set and saved, links go out unchanged. Other configuration is optional.

An Affiliate Link configuration will only apply to links in new marketing content. Content that's already been sent or published will not be changed.

Configure Affiliate Links

To specify the affiliate identification attributes for links:

  1. Go to Partner Marketing > Affiliate Links.
  2. Navigate to the Affiliant Links tab in the left sidebar.

Test an Affiliate Link configuration against a real partner

When you've set up your Affiliate Link configuration, you can generate a test link with actual partner data.

  1. Go to Partner Marketing > Affiliate Links.
  2. Navigate to the Test Link Generation tab in the left sidebar.
  3. In Choose the test context, select the partner for which to generate the link. You can also choose a campaign here, if you've enabled Campaign attribution in the Affiliate Link setup.

  6. [Optional] In Preview a real post, find a social post targeted to the specified partner to see how the links in the selected partner's copy of it will look. Posts with content links are shown in the list.

Click Show this partner's version. The link is shown in two forms: how it was originally authored in the post, and how it will be decorated on distribution to the selected partner's prospects.
